The Lakes Region Sail and Power
Squadron (LRSPS) is a member
organization of the national United
States Power Squadron that was first
organized in 1914. LRSPS is one of
three squadrons located in the state
of New Hampshire.
The squadron’s primary mission is:
To promote recreational boating
safety
through education and civic
activities while providing
fellowship for our members
While there are many water bodies in
the Lakes Region, there are six of
the largest NH lakes encompassed in
LRSPS:
Lake Winnipesaukee
Lake Winnisquam
Newfound Lake
Lake Sunapee
Lake Ossipee
Squam Lake

Our National Affiliate:
The United
States Power Squadron
USPS first organized in 1914. It is
a non-profit, educational
organization dedicated to making
boating safer and more enjoyable by
teaching classes in seamanship,
navigation and related subjects.
Members are boating families who
contribute to their communities by
promoting safe boating through
education. They enjoy participating
with fellow members on the water and
in the classroom. USPS has some
60,000 members organized into 450
squadrons across the country and in
some US territories. USPS is the
world's largest non-profit boating
organization and has been honored by
three US presidents for its civic
contributions.
